The film is technologically top rated and story wise not at par.
Film has to offer very best of visual special effects to amaze the audience, still has nothing much to offer on the storytelling front..
All sfx are there to support the story of the film but this film has an attractive package but bit empty..
You have superpower and an emotional connection to it, regarding its effect on family or society. The struggle should have a strong reason (which it has) but the journey of it misses that catch for audience to stay with the film till the end of it.
So I would not say its a bad film but the balance could have been better.
My experience of visual appeal was enormous but as I said, the film could have been better
