A Journey to Space: A Dream That Became Reality!
Today we’re celebrating a day that very few people might have heard of—National Space Day. Yes, August 23rd!
This is the very day our India set foot on the Moon. Our country’s scientists made this seemingly impossible task possible.
This is no small feat, my friend. This is an achievement that introduced our intelligence and courage to the entire world.
In today’s fast-paced world, we use technology in our daily lives, but have we ever thought about where the foundation of this technology came from? Many things like GPS, the internet, and weather forecasting have only become possible because of space science.
We often hear the saying, “Dream big, and work hard to fulfill them.” Our space scientists did something similar. They saw a dream and worked hard for years to make it a reality. Their confidence, faith, and dedication are truly commendable.
There’s a beautiful verse in Sanskrit:
“Naabhisheko na sanskaarah, simhasya kriyate vane.
Vikramarjit satvasya, svayameva mrugendrata.”
This means, “The lion is not crowned in the forest. He becomes the king by his own valor and strength.”
Our scientists have also done something similar. They didn’t wait for anyone’s approval or praise. They built their own identity in the world with their own valor.
Today, while writing this article, I remember something. A few years ago, a foreign newspaper mocked the photos of our Chandrayaan. Today, the same newspaper is praising our scientists. This is the strength of our country.
This National Space Day teaches us that if a person sticks to the dreams, no challenge can stop him/her. So let’s also set small and big goals in our lives, and work with full dedication to achieve them.
Because, just as it became possible to reach the Moon, it is also possible to fulfill our dreams.
